ABOUT ME

Takashi Inskeep, a geologist turned web developer, smiling at the camera

I move effortlessly between the artistic and the technical, and that's where I thrive.

As a geologist turned web developer, I bring a scientific mindset and creative problem-solving to everything I build. Whether I'm coding a climate predictor for imaginary worlds, creating orbital mechanics simulations, or composing music for my 3D animations, I'm always blending analytical thinking with unconventional approaches.

I've taught myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with additional formal coursework and experience in Node.js, MongoDB, and React. My projects include a multi-base calculator, physics simulations, and a planetary ring system visualizer, each one merging functionality with visual design.

My background in education and customer service has shaped how I approach development. As a docent at The Academy of Natural Sciences Dinosaur Hall, I learned to make complex ideas accessible. In electronics retail, I strengthened my collaboration and communication skills. Colleagues describe me as someone who stays calm under pressure, finds creative improvements to existing systems, and learns to truly understand rather than just memorize.

I'm seeking web development opportunities where I can work with diverse teams to build systems that are both beautiful and functional - where curiosity, technical skill, and creative thinking come together to solve real problems.
